Berglof Brass Playing & Musician Health Projects

This section highlights the projects I have created over the years, each one shaped by my personal journey as a brass player and my commitment to musician health and education. From my YouTube channel Living with Embouchure Dystonia, where I document my experiences and rehabilitation process, to my live stream series Musicians with Dystonia and Injury Live Talk, which brings together voices from across the performing arts community, these projects offer resources and conversations that are often missing in the classical music world.

I also produce educational videos on brass playing related injuries, aiming to break the silence around topics many musicians struggle with in isolation. In addition, I developed A Short Guide to Horn Transposition, a practical tool for students and professionals alike who want a clearer approach to one of the instrument’s most challenging skills.

Together, these projects reflect my dedication to sharing knowledge, supporting musicians facing health challenges, and opening up conversations that need to be heard.

This method of French horn transposition diverges from the traditional mainstream method of interval transposition, and instead utilizes key/scale transposition and clef transposition in order to increase overall efficiency and enjoyment in the art of doing what horn players do best in their trade - transpose!
